Description
The Cyprus Chamber of Fine Arts and Hambis Printmaking Museum, with the support of the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture, organised an exhibition dedicated to the 50 years from the establishment of the Cyprus Republic. The exhibition was held at The Hellenic Centre in London, at The Old Public Baths of Patra, at The House of Cyprus in Athens and at the Head Office of the Hellenic Bank in Nicosia. This catalogue presents the prints of Cypriot artists through that 50 years. “The organisation of the thematic exhibition “50 years of the Republic of Cyprus encraved by the Cypriots” is of particular significance, because through these prints the course of Cyprus is highlighted together with the soul of the Cypriots and their perceptions” – Hambis Tsangaris
