Pentadaktylos – Πενταδάκτυλος

This book was published in 750 copies in conjunction with the exhibition Pentadaktylos – Contemporaries
held at the A.G.Leventis Gallery, Nicosia, from 29 march – 16 September 2019 and in conjunction with the exhibition Pentadaktylos – Impressions held at leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia

The exhibition draws its inspiration from, pentadaktylos, a mountain and a mountain range that have a prominent place in Cyprus. Pentadaktylos itself is a mountain of legend, so named because of the link to the epic of Digenes Akritas and to an age when Byzantine warriors defended the frontiers of empire
