Description
The beginning of the physical process is when the accumulation of ideas, feelings and materials I have collected for the works reaches a stage that propels me to start putting them together. I do not begin with sketches or drawings. I work straight onto the canvas with oil, sometimes applying paint directly from the tube. I then begin to add stencilled paper and other materials such as photographs. I collage them into the surface of the painting or use the stencilled outlines of figures or buildings.
