Description
” This study of Roman coinage of Cyprus had its inception in a project entitled The Roman Coins of Cyprus undertaken at the American Numismatic Society during the summer of 1989. […] The coinage of the eastern provincial mints comprises one of the most diffuse and difficult aspects of Roman numismatics. In order to understand the monetary policies of the Roman East, studies of the mintingactivities and circulation patterns of the individual provinces are essential. This study of the Roman coinage in Cyprus hopes to contribute towards this end.” – Introduction
