Vahan Avedissian, one of the most gifted photographers of his time, travelled all over the island and took pictures of landscapes, monuments and people at work, as well as other themes which we rarely see in the photographs of other contemporary photographers. The unique views in this album are samples of excellent taste and present the combination of splendour and simplicity of Cyprus between the years 1925 and 1950.
