Description
The exhibition ”Touch Me Not: Byzantine Analogies in Contemporary Cypriot Art” is organised in the framework of the policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture for cultural decentralization and development of the local self-government. It presents the visual creations and the artists of today and of the medieval past, aiming at shedding light to the discourse between the visual diction of the two epochs.
Η έκθεση με τίτλο “Μη Μου Άπτου: Βυζαντινές Αναλογίες στη Σύγχρονη Κυπριακή Τέχνη” εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο της πολιτικής του Υπουργείου Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού για πολιτιστική αποκέντρωση και ανάπτυξη της περιφέρειας. Προβάλλει τις εικαστικές δημιουργίες και δημιουργούς του σήμερα αλλά και του μεσαιωνικού παρελθόντος, στοχεύοντας στην ανάδειξη της διαλεκτικής ανάμεσα στην εικαστική γλώσσα των δύο εποχών.
