Description
Doros Loizou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus on February 23rd 1944. In 1956 he enrolled at the Pancyprian Gymnasium (Secondary School). From 1966 to 1968 Doros went to Rhodes, where he attended a course on Catering and Hotel Management. From 1969 he studied at Boston Hellenic Collage. In 1972 he graduated and was awarded a B.A. in History with honours. After his return to Cyprus in 1972, he played an active role in the political struggle of his motherland. From 1972 to 1964 Doros taught at the English School in Nicosia. On August 30th 1974, Doros was assassinated by the Fascists in ”Eleftherios Venizelos Square” in Nicosia.
