Description
Christoforos Savva is considered an artist-phenomenon for modern Cypriot art. His works dared to overcome the traditional structures of the first generation of Cypriot painters and can be understood as the connecting link to the younger generations, who integrated Cypriot art into the international art scene.
Through the publication of this hitherto unknown archive, we believe Eleni Nikita’s research will offer to the academic community and to lovers of modern Cypriot art in general the possibility to understand and also recognise the importance and role of Christoforos Savva, both as an artist and as a person who was deeply in touch with the realities of his time.
