Description
In the Shadow of the Sultan is set during the summer of 1896 in the Ottoman Empire of Abdul Hamid II. It tells the story of an Armenian boy living comfortably with his family until events lead to his setting off on a long journey with his faithful dog at his side. Along the way he meets various characters, some kind, some hostile, some helpful and some helpless; and forms a better understanding of the history of his people.
