We are in the cities of Nicosia, Salisbury and Pretoria where Gabriel is employed as a sign-maker. As a seemingly insignificant Cypriot immigrant and an outsider himself with limited language skills he wittingly plays a vital role in the changing politics of the time.On account of his work, Gabriel finds himself a victim of circumstance, writing and re-writing history.
