Description
The first book in the new A. G. Leventis Gallery ‘Artists of the Cyprus Collection Monograph Series’ is dedicated to the Cypriot female painter Loukia Nicolaides-Vassiliou. It aims to highlight and present the work of the first Cypriot painter who studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the 1930s. At the same time, the life and social identity of her era, which inevitably influenced her work, are outlined.
